Other Wikipedias have adopted such solutions in order to display different systems for a same article, for instance in Serbian ([http://sr.wikipedia.org/wiki/%D0%A1%D1%80%D0%B1%D0%B8%D1%98%D0%B0 Cyrillic script tab "ћирилица"] and [http://sr.wikipedia.org/sr-el/%D0%A1%D1%80%D0%B1%D0%B8%D1%98%D0%B0 Latin script tab "latinica"]), in Aragonese ([http://an.wikipedia.org/wiki/Arag%C3%B3n Uesca-to-SLA link] and [http://an.wikipedia.org/wiki/Arag%C3%B3n/SLA SLA-to-Uesca link]) and in Emiliano-Romagnolo ([http://eml.wikipedia.org/wiki/Em%C3%A9gglia-Rum%C3%A2gna links to different dialects in the upper right corner]).--[[User:Nil Blau|Nil Blau]] 23:30, 9 Gortheren 2009 (UTC)

:Hou, Nil Blau. I also thought about something like that, but the problem is that the differences between the orthographies isn't just a matter of spelling, there are also changes in grammar and vocabulary.
:The current system is that people can choose which orthography they want to write in when they start a new article, and other editors respect that choice. It probably keeps users of certain orthographies from editing more often, but the site using just one orthography would probably do the same thing. At the moment it's the best way of preventing edit warring, but if the site sees an increase in editors then we could revisit that policy.
