Hey Caponer, sorry it's taken me so long to get back to you on these. "List of Popes of the Roman Catholic Church" would be rol a Babow an Eglos Katholik Romanek; if you wanted to translate "List of Roman Catholic Popes", it would be rol a Babow Gatholik Romanek. I've taken the liberty of giving my opinion of your translations below by putting my preferred version in bold (but feel free to differ!). yn-medh Owen. 04:14, 1 Ebryl 2006 (UTC)

  • Alexander = Aleksander or Alexander
  • Benedict = Benedikt or Benesek (I love the second version, but I'm pretty sure I saw Benedikt in An Gannas around the time of Ratzinger's election...)
  • Caius = Kea? Ke (good one, I wouldn't have thought of that!)
  • Clemens (Clement) = Klemens? or Klement?
  • Constantine = Kostentin or Kostentyn (interchangeable, but Kostentin is Kemmyn)
  • Gregory = Gregori
  • Innocent = Innosent? (don't know, but what about Innosens (more in keeping with Cornish phonological treatment of nt normally))
  • John = Jowann
  • Julius = ? Yuli
  • Leo = Leo Lew
  • Marcellus = Marsellws? Marsell(?)
  • Marcus (Mark) = Margh
  • Nicholas = Nikka? (I feel like I ought to know this, but I don't – Nikolas?)
  • Paschal = Pasko or Paskow? Paskel (I'd say)
  • Paul = Pawl
  • Peter = Peder
  • Pius = Piws (very tricky this one! I lean to Pi, but I know that's just because I speak French... I wonder what Bretons call Pius? Certainly it's unlikely to Piws, Cornish wouldn't have w there; Pius maybe?)
  • Silvester = Sylvester
  • Urbanus (Urban) = Wrban? Urban (same ü sound as in French, Breton)
  • Xystus (Sixtus) = Sykstws? Sikst(??)
