English: “This image was originally uploaded as Image:Íslenski hesturinn.jpeg by Ævar Arnfjörð Bjarmason. The current image is based on the very same scan but the author Andreas Tille did some manual enhancements that made the image much better. Moreover the name was changed to use only plain ASCII characters to enable more easily referencing if a user has no Icelandic keyboard. The pages that referenced the old image were changed to point to the new image.” [1] – The Featured Picture status which originally applied to File:Íslenski hesturinn.jpeg (see the nomination subpage) was transferred to this new version of the image.
