English: St Ives railway station, Cornwall, United Kingdom. the photographs was taken before the broad gauge line was converted in 1892. The arrival of the railway in 1877 prompted the promotion of the town as a tourist destination, but the old fishing industry continued for some time. A number of seine boats can be seen drawn up on the beach below the station, and the railway trucks to the right of the station are designed for fish traffic.
