'Misspelled titles'

I can see that you have been changing the title of some articles. All spelling systems of Cornish are accepted on this wikipedia, and so 'hwoer' (in Kernewek Kemmyn) is not a misspelling, just an alternative to Standard Written Form (Middle). Other articles are written in Unified, Late and Standard Cornish. In future, unless the article is a stub (which in this case, 'hwor' is), please do not change the title of articles. In the same way, your changes to the page for New Zealand have left the first sentence meaningless and grammatically incorrect. I suggest that rather than change spellings to the spelling system you favour, that you practise your Cornish by adding to articles. Brwynog (keskows) 21:02, 25 Du 2024 (UTC)Reply

I see. However, I don't the see the point of all orthographies being accepted, considering how messy it is. As well as using some spelling systems that are old and outdated. But thank you regardless. Akhaeron (keskows) 07:46, 26 Du 2024 (UTC)Reply
That might be your opinion, but other people are free to use whichever spelling system they like, and that is the policy of Cornish wikipedia, expressly designed to avoid repeats of the old 'spelling wars'. No one spelling system has more rights than others. Some spelling systems may be older, but I would say none is outdated because people are still writing in all of them. I must ask you as an administrator to stop changing spellings and certainly to stop changing title spellings. You are welcome to add new articles, and to add to existing stubs in whichever spelling system you prefer (and to add to existing large articles in the spelling system of that article). If you persist in your present practice you will be banned from editing Cornish wikipedia and your edits reverted. So far your edits have not been constructive but a nuisance. I can see that your latest edits have been changing long articles, by no means stubs, from Kernewek Kemmyn into SWF (M) (e.g. Yesu Krist). This does not conform to Cornish wikipedia's policies, and I am asking you, for one last time, rather than to amend existing articles, to write your own in the spelling system of your choice. Users of this wikipedia have the right to write articles in their choice of orthography, not just yours. Have you understood this? Brwynog (keskows) 13:25, 27 Du 2024 (UTC)Reply
Once again, I see that you are only editing what you are calling misspellings. Not only that, you are amending long articles without adding anything yourself. Some of your amendments are plain wrong, e.g the plural of chitrak (when chytrak was an acceptable alternative anyway). I fail to understand why you don't add articles of your own, rather than this negative obsession of 'spelling mistakes'. Why do you not add your own articles? Corsica was an full article written in Late Cornish. It had a redirect from the SWF(M) version in case anyone searched for it in SWF (M). In that case you do not change the orthography of the original article. Other people have the right to write an article in the orthography of their choice and for it to be accepted thus, whatever you think. They certainly don't deserve someone to make a complete hash of it. The only places where you change the spelling if it has been misspelt in the orthography the article has been written in, or if you are expanding a stub by writing a full article in a different orthography. In that case you are welcome to use SWF (M) if that is the orthography you prefer. Brwynog (keskows) 13:48, 14 Kevardhu 2024 (UTC)Reply
